GENERAL
These Regulations and Conditions may be altered without notice.

| 1. |
Wilts and Dorset Bus Company Limited (hereinafter in these Regulations and Conditions called The Company) will make every effort to maintain the services shown in its Timetable and will so far as it is possible operate the same to Greenwich Time or such system of time in force by Government decree but the Company reserves the right to alter, suspend, withdraw, or deviate the route of any vehicle or service and alter any operating times of services without notice. |

The Company hereby gives notice to all persons that it does not undertake, nor by the publication of this or any Timetable, Handbill or Notice, is it to be deemed to undertake that its vehicles shall operate on service at the time set out in its Timetable or at all or shall arrive at the time specified in its Timetable, or at all. The Company further gives notice that it will not be liable or accountable for any loss, damage, hurt, inconvenience or injury arising from the failure of the vehicles to start or arrive at the time specified in its Timetable or at all, neither will it be liable in such cases in the event of delay on journey, deviation or breakdown arising from any cause. Excursions and Tours are operated subject to there being sufficient bookings. |

Tickets are issued subject to the published Regulations and Conditions of the Company and of any other Company or person upon whose transport system the tickets may be available. |

The contract of carriage and the liability of the Company (if any) or of the Company or person referred to in (3) above (if any) is limited to carriage upon their or his own transport system. The Company does not accept any responsibility for any accident which may occur to any passenger being carried on any Toll-bridge, Ferry or other transport across water.
Neither the holder of a ticket nor any other person shall have any right of action against the Company its servants or agents in respect of (i) death of or bodily injury to any person otherwise than while a passenger is being carried in or entering or alighting from a public service vehicle or (ii) any other loss damage or delay to any person however caused and (iii) any loss or misdelivery of or damage or delay to property however caused.
Passengers are not to attempt to board or alight from any of the Companys vehicles whilst in motion or stationary in traffic in obedience to signals, police directions or from any other cause. Passengers so doing act at their own risk. |

The passenger is liable to pay for the journey the fare set out in the Companys Official Fare Table and to pay the same to the driver whether payment is requested or not. |

Passengers on paying the proper fare shall see that they receive a new ticket or the tickets corresponding with the amount paid properly issued and/or punched in the relevant section in accordance with the conditions of issue of the ticket. Passengers must examine their change upon receipt and report any discrepancy immediately to the driver as no claims can otherwise the entertained. The Company reserves the right to refuse tickets which are crumpled, torn or mutilated. |

Fares are arranged in stages, and passengers boarding at a point between stages will be charged as from the previous stage. Passengers alighting between stages will be charged as if travelling to the next succeeding fixed stage point. |

No refund will be made in respect of lost, destroyed or defaced tickets. |

| CONDUCT OF PASSENGERS |

| 9. |
The passenger is carried subject to the provisions of all legislative enactment in that behalf and an edited extract from the Public Service Vehicles (Conduct of Drivers, Inspectors, Conductors and Passengers) Regulations dated 1 June 1990 is as follows:
A 1. No passenger on a vehicle shall
- where the vehicle has a door which passengers are by a notice informed is for a particular purpose, use that door for any other purpose, unless otherwise directed or authorised by a driver or inspector;
- put at risk or unreasonably impede or cause discomfort to any person travelling on or entering or leaving the vehicle, or a driver, inspector or employee of the Company when doing his work on the vehicle;
- throw or trail any article from the vehicle;
- smoke or carry lighted tobacco or light a match or a cigarette lighter in or on any part of the vehicle;
- except with the permission of the Company, distribute any paper or other article for the purpose of giving or seeking information about or comment upon any matter;
- except with the permission of the Company, sell or offer for sale any article;
- speak to the driver whilst the vehicle is in motion unless
(i) in an emergency or for reasons of safety; or
(ii) to give directions as to the stopping of the vehicle;
- without reasonable cause distract the drivers attention, obstruct his vision or give any signal which might reasonably be interpreted by the driver as a signal
(i) to stop the vehicle in an emergency; or
(ii) to start the vehicle;
-
- travel on any part of the vehicle which is not provided for the carriage of passengers;
- remain on the vehicle, when directed to leave by the driver or inspector on the following grounds
(i) that his remaining would result in the number of passengers exceeding the maximum seating capacity or the maximum standing capacity marked on the vehicle in accordance with the Public Service Vehicles (Carrying Capacity) Regulations 1984(a);
(ii) that he has been causing a nuisance; or
(iii) that his condition is such as would be likely to cause offence to a reasonable passenger or that the condition of his clothing is such that his remaining would be reasonably expected to soil the fittings of the vehicle or the clothing of other passengers;
- play or operate any musical instrument, sound reproducing equipment or mobile phone to the annoyance of any person on the vehicle or in a manner which is likely to cause annoyance to any person on the vehicle; or
- intentionally interfere with any equipment with which the vehicle is fitted.
A 2. A passenger on a vehicle who has with him
- any bulky or cumbersome article;
- any article or substance which causes or is likely to cause annoyance to any person on the vehicle; or
- any article or substance which would be reasonably expected to consistute
(i) a risk of injury to any person on the vehicle; or
(ii) a risk of damage to the property of any person on the vehicle or to the vehicle.
or any animal
(a) if directed by the driver or inspector to put it in a particular place on the vehicle, shall put it where directed; and
(b) if requested to move it from the vehicle by the driver or inspector, shall remove it.
B 1. No passenger on a vehicle being used for the carriage of passengers at separate fares shall use any ticket which has
- been altered or defaced;
- been issued for use by another person on terms that it is not transferable; or
- expired.
B 2. Save as provided in paragraph (3), every passenger on a vehicle being used for the carriage of passengers at separate fares shall
- declare, if so requested by the driver or inspector, the journey which he intends to take, is taking or has taken in the vehicle;
- where the vehicle is being operated by the driver without a conductor
(i) save as provided in (ii) below, immediately on boarding the vehicle, pay the fare for the journey he intends to take to the driver or, where appropriate, by inserting in any fare-collection equipment provided on the vehicle the money, token or card required to pay that fare; or
(ii) if otherwise directed by the driver, an inspector or a notice displayed on the vehicle, shall pay the fare for his journey in accordance with the direction;
- accept and retain for the rest of his journey any ticket which is provided on payment of a fare in accordance with sub-paragraph (b);
- produce during his journey any ticket which has been issued to him either under sub-paragraph (c) or before he started his journey for inspection by the driver or inspector, on being requested to do so; and
- as soon as he has completed the journey for which he has a ticket, either
(i) leave the vehicle; or
(ii) pay the fare for any further journey which he intends to take on the vehicle.
B3. Paragraph 2(b) does not apply to a passenger who has with him a ticket which was issued to him before his journey in respect of that journey, provided he complies which all such directions in relation to the ticket as may be
- printed on the ticket;
- displayed on the vehicle; or
- given by the driver or inspector.
B 4. Any passenger who
- fails to comply with paragraph 2(b) or;
- does not have with him a ticket which was issued to him before his journey in respect of that journey;
shall pay the fare for his journey to the driver or inspector on request and in any case before he leaves the vehicle unless otherwise agreed by the driver or inspector.
B 5. Any passenger on a vehicle being used for the carriage of passengers at separate fares who has with him a ticket which he is not entitled to retain for any reason including
- the alteration or defacement of the ticket;
- the fact that the ticket, having been issued for use by another person, was not transferable to him;
- the expiry of the ticket; or
- a mistake in consequence of which the ticket was issued;
shall surrender the ticket to a driver or inspector on being required to do so.
C 1. Any passenger on a vehicle who is reasonably suspected by the driver or inspector of contravening any provision of these Regulations shall give his name and address to the driver or inspector on request.
C 2. Any passenger on a vehicle who contravenes any provision of these Regulations may be removed from the vehicle by the driver or inspector or on the request of the driver or inspector, by a police officer.

| FARE QUERIES |

Passengers are reminded that drivers are instructed to charge the fares printed in the Companys Official Fare Charts and Notices, also to enforce the Conditions relating to such fares as published in the Regulations and Conditions.
In cases of dispute between passengers and the driver regarding the correct fare to be charged, or the acceptance of return tickets or other concession tickets, passengers are requested to pay the fare asked by the driver and to refer to any matter of dispute to the Companys Head Office, where a refund will be made if it is found that the driver is in error.
Passengers may ask to see the official current Fare Chart which must be carried by drivers at all times when on duty.
